What is the Run the North Shore Race Series?
The 2008 Run the North Shore Race Series is a points-based collection of eleven of the best road and trail running events in North and West Vancouver. All 2008 races take place between April 29th and November 12th, 2008.
Anyone who finishes a 2008 Run the North Shore Race Series Event is automatically entered. Each participant will earn points for completing a race and bonus points for finishing in the top ten in their respective 10-year age group.
Run the North Shore Scoring
You will receive a minimum of 10 participation points per race completed regardless of placement. Extra points can be earned by placing amongst the top ten finishers your 10-year age group (under 20 to over 80)

At the completion of each race, the series standings will be updated and posted on invidual race pages and www.runthenorthshore.com
Bonus Points
In addition to earning points through participation and placement, runners can earn bonus points the following way:
Volunteer at a North Shore based running event
5 Points (non-Run the North Shore event) or 10 points (Run the North Shore Event)
Volunteer at a Trail Maintenance session
10 Points (4 hours) or 20 points (8 hours)

Series Champion - King and Queen of the Shore
The 2008 Run the North Shore Runners of the Year Award will go to the male and female with the most series points.
The King and Queen of the Shore will receive a prize package that includes:

Age Group Champions - Lords of the Shore
The 2008 Run the North Shore "Lords of the Shore" Awards will go to the male and female with the most series points in each of the 10-year age groups (under 20 to over 80).
